Welcome to The Rochester Grammar School´s website. I am sure that you will find it informative and enjoyable to explore. You can find out about our personalized curriculum and our outstanding care, guidance and support for our students. We are proud of our school: our mission is to ‘further excellence through support, encouragement and achievement.’ We nurture habits of excellence in all aspects of school life – academic, creative, sporting and in responsible behaviour.

You can also access the public side of our Learning Platform which contains some further current information on many aspects of the school. However, its primary function is to enable students to develop their learning at anytime, with possibilities for interacting with other students and reflecting on their own learning through blogs, wikis, and surveys and so on.

You will see that we are a 21st Century school concerned not just with what our students learn, but with how they learn, and how they grow in confidence, independence and as flexible thinkers. Since our foundation in 1888, we have been committed to a pioneering curriculum broadening opportunities for girls to access higher education and any top career, we have continued to be at the leading edge of education. This year we have presented our ideas at a national conference on Thinking Skills and at a national conference on educating Gifted and Talented pupils and next year we are presenting our ideas and achievements at an IB World Conference in Spain.
