Welcome to The Thorndike Arts Centre

Welcome to the Thorndike Arts Centre website where you can find details of upcoming events; who we are and what we offer; previous visiting artists; photos, films and contact details.

The Thorndike Arts Centre is a non-profit arts organisation housed within the grounds of The Rochester Grammar School. Our mission is simple...

Provide world class entertainment to the local community at bargain prices

Bring the artists closer to their audience through workshops, Q and A sessions and forums

Provide a platform for local artists to perform or display work as part of each event

The centre boasts raked seating for 240 people and further floor seating for up to 80 people. With a fantastic bar, free car parking, great sound and quality projection facilities you are guaranteed a great and comfortable visit. All profits from gigs are put DIRECTLY back into the centre meaning better facilities for students, the community and of course for visiting artists.
